About me

My name is Amie Williams, from a small town in South Wales. I have been incredibly lucky to experience the four corners of the world. My whole personality and outlook on life has been modelled off my crazy South African mother’s, who has never failed to show my sister’s and I that there is so much world to explore. She gave us more once in a lifetime experiences than hot dinners (although my dad is better at those anyway). I have worked, travelled, worked for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, I do not have the right personality or mindset for remote work so I have worked my fair share of minimum wage jobs to fund my expensive travel habit.

I have always been passionate about the environment, with dolphin wallpaper and curtains in my first bedroom as a testimony to my fascination with the underwater world. This passion has translated to every part of my life and I am determined to spread and educate about the importance of protecting not on the environment, but the people who depend on it too.

I am probably not the right person for budget backpacking advice, or for top things to see or do. But I always manage to have the best time and have perfected living life like I am the main character. This blog will attempt to combine my love for travel, with the environment and social issues. If I can help one person think a bit harder, ponder a little longer or develop a whole new perspective then my job is done.
